What's New
NEW FINDINGS ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIGH NMN INTAKE AND HEALTH MAINTENANCE OBTAINED THROUGH JOINT RESEARCH WITH THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OF DECISION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF TOKUSHIMA

Thank you for your continued patronage of Abe Yoando Pharmaceuticals.
IN A JOINT RESEARCH WITH THE GRADUATE SCHOOL OF DECISION SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY, UNIVERSITY OF TOKUSHIMA, WE HAVE CONDUCTED A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN HIGH VOLUME INTAKE OF NMN (NICOTINAMIDE MONONUCLEOTIDE) AND HEALTH MAINTENANCE, AND HAVE OBTAINED NEW FINDINGS.
IN THIS STUDY, WE ANALYZED THE EFFECT OF NMN INTAKE ON LIFE SPAN IN OLD MICE. THE RESULTS REVEALED THAT HIGH VOLUME NMM INTAKE IS MORE NECESSARY THAN LOW VOLUME NMN INTAKE.
Research Outline
[Purpose]
Long-term administration of NMN to aged mice to determine its toxicity and lifespan-extending effects.
[Dosing period]
September 29, 2022 - April 10, 2024
[Experimental items]
Biochemical tests of blood, body weight, survival rate, etc.
[Animal species]
Mouse C57BL/6NJcl Male 67 weeks old (high week old mouse)
[Dose group]
(n=5) Mice weights were averaged and standardized
Control group (tap water only)
NMN 100mg/kg/day
NMN 300 mg/kg/day
[Method of administration
Ad libitum drinking water (amounts adjusted so that intake is uniform for each group)
Study Results
One year of long-term NMN feeding to aged mice was non-toxic, and there was a trend toward higher survival rates in the 300 mg/kg NMN feeding group during the period when the body weight of each group remained unchanged. (see figure below)

Abe Yoando Pharmaceuticals investigated the effect of NMN intake on life span in aged mice. Results showed that the high volume (300 mg/kg/day) NMN intake group tended to have a higher survival rate with no toxicity. Consistent with previous studies, this study provided valuable data to examine the appropriate intake of NMN. We will continue to develop products based on scientific evidence and aim to apply them in the field of anti-aging care.
Previous studies have reported certain changes in survival when 550 mg/kg of NMN was administered to aged mice (human equivalent volume equivalent: approximately 3,130 mg/day, 70 kg body weight equivalent). This study presents data from an animal model regarding the intake of NMN, suggesting the need for further research.
THIS STUDY PROVIDES VALUABLE INSIGHTS INTO THE APPROPRIATE INTAKE OF NMN AND IS EXPECTED TO BE APPLIED IN THE FIELD OF ANTI-AGING CARE IN THE FUTURE.
Outlook for the Future
ABE YOANDO PHARMACEUTICAL WILL CONTINUE TO PROMOTE PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT BASED ON SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE AND SUPPORT MORE PEOPLE TO LEAD HEALTHY AND FULFILLING LIVES. WE WILL CONTINUE TO PURSUE THE POTENTIAL OF NMN THROUGH FURTHER RESEARCH.
