KDDI CO-FOUNDER KOSEI SEMMOTO APPOINTED AS ADVISOR

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Sachio Senmoto as an advisor to the Company, effective May 1, 2024.
MR. SEMMOTO IS A WELL-KNOWN SERIAL ENTREPRENEUR IN JAPAN, HAVING FOUNDED DAINI-DENDEN (NOW KDDI) AND EACCESS (NOW Y-MOBILE), BOTH OF WHICH HAVE GROWN INTO GIANT COMPANIES.
In 2017, he established the Senbon Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation, where he pours his heart and soul as the representative director, while also focusing on fostering budding entrepreneurs. In recent years, he has also served on the board of directors of a university, and is highly regarded both domestically and internationally as a venture business manager.
With Mr. Senbon's arrival, we will utilize his extensive knowledge to strengthen and improve our internal structure for the realization of innovative longevity services.
In addition, Advisor Senbon will appear in the memorable first installment of a new column series, [Age is just a number] Secrets of Youth Learned from Giants - Dialogue Series.

Born in Nara, 1942.
AFTER WORKING FOR NIPPON TELEGRAPH AND TELEPHONE PUBLIC CORPORATION (NOW NTT), HE CO-FOUNDED DDI (DAINI-DENDEN, NOW KDDI) WITH KAZUO INAMORI. HE THEN BECAME A PROFESSOR AT KEIO UNIVERSITY, AND FOUNDED EACCESS LTD. AND THEN EMOBILE (NOW Y! MOBILE), SERVING AS PRESIDENT AND CHAIRMAN OF BOTH COMPANIES BEFORE RETIRING AS CHAIRMAN EMERITUS OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BOTH COMPANIES. IN APRIL OF THE SAME YEAR, HE BECAME AN OUTSIDE DIRECTOR OF RENOVA CORPORATION, AND IN AUGUST 2015, HE WAS APPOINTED CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
